The Lenovo A5000 smartphone which was spotted listed on company’s Russia and UAE website, has now arrived in India. Priced at Rs.9,999, the handset is now up for pre-order on Lenovo’s TheDoStore in India in Black and White color options while shipping will begin starting April 30.

Highlight of this device is its 4000 mAh battery which according to the official listings, is rated to deliver up to 17 hours of talk time and 33.5 days of standby time on 3G networks. Expanding its smartphone portfolio, Lenovo has silently released its new handset dubbed the Lenovo A5000 in Russia. Highlight of this phone is its 4000 mAh battery which according to company’s listings, is claimed to deliver up to 17 hours of talk time and up to 33.5 days of standby time on 3G networks.

It also comes with Quick Charge feature which fully recharges the phone in mere 3 hours while 15 minutes of charge can offer up to 4 hours of talk time. Another notable feature of the handset is splash-proof nano coating which protects the screen against rain and water splashes.

Under the hood, the dual-SIM handset is powered by 1.3 GHz quad-core MediaTek (MT6582) processor paired with 1 GB of RAM and Mali T760-MP2 GPU. Running Android 4.4 KitKat operating system, it features a 5-inch HD IPS display with 1280×720 pixel resolution and 300 ppi pixel density.

On imaging front, the device sports an 8 mega pixel auto focus rear camera with LED flash and a 2 mega pixel front facing camera. It houses 8 GB of inbuilt storage which is expandable up to 32 GB via microSD card. Backed up by a 4000 mAh battery, the A5000 phone offers 3G, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth, GPRS/ EDGE,  GPS/ A-GPS, and Micro-USB as connectivity options. The dimensions of the device are 140 x 71.4 x 9.98 mm and it weighs 160 grams. It packs accelerometer, proximity and light sensor.
