Price and Availability
The new Lava Z81 is priced in India at Rs 9,499 for the 3GB RAM variant. It will be available via retail outlets and e-commerce websites (including Flipkart, Amazon, and Snapdeal). A 2GB RAM variant is not currently available for purchase.
As part of launch offers, the new handset comes with a free one-time screen replacement (if you purchase it on or before January 31, 2019).

The new smartphone sports a 5.7-inch IPS display with HD+ resolution, 18:9 aspect ratio, a pixel density of 282ppi and 16 million colors. It comes with Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protection.
The Lava Z81 is powered by a 2.0GHz quad-core MediaTek Helio A22 processor and up to 3GB DDR3 RAM. The 32GB internal storage can be further expanded via a microSD card (up to 128GB). It is backed by a 3,000mAh battery.
In terms of optics, the Lava Z81 sports a 13-megapixel camera with LED flash on the front and back. Both cameras comes with AI Studio Mode for portrait photography. It allows you to apply lighting effects like Splash, Stage Light, Stage Light Mono, etc.
Additional camera features include Real-time Bokeh, Face Beauty, HDR, Super Night, Filter, Template, Panorama, GIF Mode, Intelligent Selfie, Sound Picture, Child Mode, Spotlight, Microspur, QR Code, AR Stickers, Auto Capture on Touch, Smile and V-Gesture. You can also record full-HD videos with a video beauty mode.

The dual-SIM smartphone runs Android 8.1 Oreo operating system with Star OS 5.0. It supports Face Unlock technology. The handset also comes with a fingerprint sensor. Other sensors on the device include an accelerometer, ambient light sensor, and proximity sensor.
