Lava Launched 3G 356 and 3G 402 Dual Core Budget Androids in India

Lava Mobiles this summer launched their flagship mobile Iris 504Q with quad-core processor, 1GB RAM and 8Mp camera. The USP of the handset was gesture controls which made it different from other quad-core handsets in the same range. There was a news trending that Lava might launch sub 5k 3G enabled Android very soon and now that news has come true.

LAVA 3G 356

Lava on 14 August 2013 have announced 3G 356 and 3G 405 Dual-core Androids in India for approximately 5k which was heard earlier. These two entry level smartphones aim to provide an efficient and usable Android experience at low cost especially designed for the Indian market moving users from the low speed 2G to considerably fast 3G.

Features

Lava 3G 356 runs by a powerful dual core processor by MediaTek and the latest Android 4.2 (Jelly bean) operating system. Sporting a 3.5-inch capacitive touch screen with HVGA display ( 480×320 pixels resolution ), Lava 3G 356 turns out to be smartphone loaded with decent specifications. It features a 1.3MP camera and is powered by a Li-Ion battery with 1500 mAh capacity for longer battery life which is claimed to give up to 5 hours of talktime and 200 hours of stand-by. It also bundles features like OTA upgrade, enhanced multi-tasking and connectivity options comprising of WiFi, Bluetooth and microUSB.

LAVA 3G 402

On the other hand, Lava 3G 402 is a 4-inch smartphone with capacitive touch screen WVGA display ( 480×800 pixels resolution ) with 16 Million Colors. 3G 402 too runs on latest version Android 4.2 Jelly bean. The smartphone sports a 3MP camera and runs by a dual core 1.2 GHz processor powered by a 1500mAh battery.

Both 3G 356 and 402 comes with 256MB RAM and 512MB internal memory which can be expanded upto 32GB through external memory card.

Price and availability

Lava 3G 356 is priced at Rs. 4499 and Lava 3G 402 at Rs. 5499 in India. Lava 3G 356 comes in white, black & grey and 3G 402 comes in – white, grey and red. The accessories which comes bundled with the 3G 356 and 402 box includes a screen guard and silicon soft pouch. Both the handsets are available for sale across all national stores including online e-commerce websites.
