Adding one more handset to its Iris series, domestic handset maker Lava has launched its new budget smartphone Lava Iris 414 in the Indian market. As for specifications, the dual-SIM smartphone packs a single-core processor (unknown chipset) clocked at 1 GHz coupled with 512 MB of RAM. Running on Android 4.4.2 KitKat, it features a 4 inch WVGA TFT display with 800 x 480 pixel resolution. On photography front, it sports a 3.2 mega pixel fixed focus camera with LED flash on the rear and a 0.3 mega pixel front facing camera. There is 4 GB of inbuilt storage onboard which is expandable up to 32 GB via microSD card. Read on to find more information on specifications, features and availability of Iris 414.
It packs a 1400 mAh battery which is claimed to deliver up to 12 hours of talk time and up to 126 hours of standby time on 2G network. Connectivity options on Iris 414 include 3G, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth, GPRS/ EDGE and Micro-USB. The handset weighs 110 grams, measures 120 x 63.4 x 10.4 mm and is listed in Black color on company’s website.

Lava also launched its Iris Fuel 10 smartphone earlier this month. The Fuel 10 is powered by a 1.3 GHz quad-core MediaTek processor coupled with 1 GB of RAM. Other specifications of the handset include 4.5 inch display (480 x 854 pixels and 217 ppi), 8 GB inbuilt memory (expandable up to 32 GB via microSD card), 5 mega pixel rear camera, 2 mega pixel front facing camera and 3000 mAh battery. On software front, it runs Android 4.4 KitKat OS which comes with promised upgrade to Android 5.0 Lollipop.
Price and Availability
The Lava Iris 414 is listed on company’s website for Rs. 4,049. There is no word on the availability details of the handset. We expect the company to make an official announcement in the coming days.
