Indian mobile handset company Lava has brought an addition to its Iris series with the introduction of Lava Iris 401. Fonearena reports that this phone has appeared on the mobile phones listing of the company’s official website. The information about the availability and price has not been revealed yet. This phone is more like an upgrade done to its elder sibling Iris 401e.
This phone is powered by a 1.3GHz dual-core processor. It runs on Android 4.2 Jelly Bean operating system which brings nothing new since smartphones with latest Android 4.4.2 KitKat operating system are available in the market. It features a 4 inch capacitive touch screen LCD display with 480 x 800 pixels resolution. It gets 256 MB RAM and 512 MB of internal storage (expandable up to 32 GB).
It sports a 3 mega pixel rear camera (with LED flash) and a 0.3 mega pixel front-facing VGA camera. Camera specifications also seem disappointing because people are more interested in buying smartphones with good cameras for clicking superior quality pictures. VGA camera on the front is more disappointing for selfie lovers. It packs a 1450 mAh battery. This phone supports GPRS/EDGE, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n and Bluetooth 3.0 as connectivity options.
