Lava has launched its budget smartphone Lava Iris 349 in the Indian market. Under the hood, the handset is powered by a 1GHz single core processor (unknown chipset) coupled with 256MB of RAM. Running rather dated Android 2.3 Gingerbread operating system, it features a 3.5-inch HVGA TFT display with 480×320 pixels resolution.
It comes with 512MB of inbuilt storage which is expandable up to 32GB via microSD card. It sports a 2 mega pixel rear camera with LED flash and a VGA front facing camera. Backed up by a 1300mAh battery, the Iris 349 is claimed to deliver up to 11 hours of talk time and up to 290 hours of standby time. It measures 117×61.6×11.9mm in dimensions.

Lava has also listed Iris 100 Lite smartphone on its official website priced at Rs. 3,049. There is no word on availability of the phone. It is powered by a 1GHz single-core (Cortex A5) processor alongside 256Mb of RAM. The handset features a 4-inch WVGA TFT (800×480 pixels resolution, 231ppi pixel density) display and runs dated Android 2.3 Gingerbread operating system. Other specifications of the phone include 512MB of inbuilt memory (expandable up to 32GB via microSD card), 2 mega pixel rear camera with LED flash, 0.3 mega pixel front facing camera and a 1400mAh battery.
Price and Availability
The Lava Iris 349 is priced at Rs. 2,999. There is no word on availability of the handset as of now however it is likely to go on sale in the coming days.
