The Karbonn K9 Smart Grand features a 5.2-inch display with FWVGA (480 x 854pixels) resolution and 2.5D curved glass. It is powered by a 1.3GHz quad-core processor (unspecified)and 1GB RAM. The 8GB internal storage can be further expanded via a microSD card (up to 32GB).

The Karbonn K9 Smart Grand runs on Android 7.0 Nougat operating system. A fingerprint scanner is placed on the back panel. Other sensors on the device include a Proximity sensor, Accelerometer, and Ambient light sensor.
The dual-SIM smartphone comes in two color options – Black and Champagne. Connectivity options on the handset include 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS, FM radio, USB OTG, and 3.5mm audio jack.
