Cupertino-based tech giant Apple is expected to sport a notch on the upcoming iPhone SE 2. It will launch in September 2018. According to a Japanese blog Macotakara report, it will be revealed with other iPhone models for this year. The iPhone SE 2 launch report has come after reports that it will be launched in the second quarter of 2018.
iPhone SE 2 Launch Speculations
Currently, the tech giant hasn’t given any information regarding the iPhone SE 2 launch.
The Macotakara report also notes that the iPhone SE 2 design has not been settled yet. The blog further elucidates that several models are being examined including a 4-inch display one and even a 6-inch display model. The report also notes that only one model will be in the market. It also mentions that 3 kinds of prototype glass are there for the device. They don’t have Touch ID holes. The upper portion has a notched space, for the placing of the TrueDepth camera.
This confirms the previous links which showed a front notch and smaller display.
Other Macotakara reports also state that the iPhone SE 2 will be without a headphone jack. Earlier speculations have also stated that the phone will be revealed at Apple’s 2018 WWDC. It will be held in June.
Moreover, the company is predicted to launch three iPhone X variants for sure in 2018.
Other Developments
According to a 9To5Mac report, many developers have been sent emails by Apple. Moreover, the emails state that their app has violated sections 5.1.1 and 5.1.2 of the App Store Review Guidelines. These guidelines are for the sharing of user location data to third parties without clear-cut permission of users. The emails also note that the developers need to eliminate SDKs, code, and framework to come out of the violation. Only then, after resubmission and approval review, will it be back in the App Store. Moreover, the Apple Privacy Policy guidelines say, “You may not use or transmit someone’s personal data without first obtaining their permission and providing access to information about how and where the data will be used. Data collected from apps may not be used or shared with third parties for purposes unrelated to improving the user experience or software/ hardware performance connected to the app’s functionality”.
