The Cupertino-based company Apple is expected to not just launch its successors to the three existing iPhone models but also some iPhone dual-SIM variants. KGI Securities analyst Ming-Chi Kuo who is known for his accurate predictions about upcoming Apple products (based on industry sources), believes that the tech giant will launch its rumored 6.1-inch LCD model later this year with a dual-SIM option.
The LCD iPhone is speculated to be priced from Rs. 36,200 approximately– which is a pretty affordable price. It is predicted to release with the successor to the iPhone X– a new 5.8-inch OLED iPhone. Even the iPhone X Plus (6.5-inch) is expected to be released.

Ming-Chi Kuo’s iPhone Dual-SIM Prediction
Kuo’s prediction was reported by online publication 9to5Mac. According to the publication, Kuo has explained to investors that the tech giant is planning on launching the 6.1-inch LCD device in two variants. One will be a standard iPhone single SIM device and other will be an iPhone dual-SIM device.
Earlier in a report, He had predicted that Apple has been planning to add support for two LTE networks to its dual-SIM model, rather than incorporating LTE and 3G connectivity. It is also speculated that the dual-SIM setup is based on the dual-SIM and dual-standby (DSDS) technology. It is mainly found on my dual-SIM Android smartphones.

The publication has even reported that the single-SIM variant will be priced at roughly between $500 and $650. In Indian currency, it is Rs.42,800 approximately. The dual-SIM model is predicted to be sold between $650 and $750, which in Indian currency is approximately Rs. 49,300.
The dual-SIM variant is expected to boost the smartphone’s sales in emerging markets like India.
Mass Production To Start Soon
It was reported by Apple Insider that mass production of the 6.1-inch LCD iPhone will start in three to five weeks, after the speculated OLED iPhone version’s manufacturing.
Kuo has predicted that there will be dual-SIM support on the 6.5-inch OLED model, and not in the 5.8-inch OLED model.
The 6.1-inch LCD device is expected to be the most popular one in Apple’s 2018 smartphone lineup. It is affordable when compared to other models like the iPhone X. Kuo has predicted that the company will produce 100 million to 120 million units of the LCD smartphone. Also, the production will be between Q3 of 2018 and Q3 of 2019. Even though it is lowly priced, it is expected to be on par with the iPhone X.
