Domestic handset manufacturer, Intex has partnered with Finland based company Jolla (developer of Sailfish OS), for Sailfish OS 2.0 licensing. With this tie-up, Intex Technologies has become first licensing associate in the world to use Sailfish OS 2.0 in its devices. While the partnership has already been announced, Intex devices based on Sailfish operating system are likely to be launched in fourth quarter of 2015 (i.e. Oct-Nov-Dec 2015).
To remind you, Sailfish OS 2.0 offers new features and improved performance, better Android application compatibility, enhanced UI, better multi-tasking and much more.

With this association, Intex has tapped the untapped potential to become first deomestic smartphone maker to bring the Sailfsh OS to the county. The motive behind the Sailfish India partnership is to being more choices for the buyers and offer high customer satisfaction.
