The budget smartphone sports a 5.0-inch IPS display with Dragontrail Glass, HD (720 x 1280 pixels) resolution, a pixel density of 294ppi, and 16.7 million colors. Additionally, the new handset comes with 2.5D curved glass. It is powered by a quad-core MediaTek MT6737 processor and 2GB DDR3 RAM. The 16GB internal storage can be further expanded via a microSD card (up to 128GB).
In terms of optics, the Intex Indie 5 sports 8-megapixel autofocus rear camera sensor with anLED flash. The 8-megapixel front camera also comes with an LED flash. Camera features include HDR, beautification mode, and panorama.
The entry-level handset is backed by a 4,000mAh battery.

The dual-SIM (Micro) smartphone measures 146.5 x 72.2 x 10.1mm and weighs 162 grams. It only comes in a Black color variant with a brushed finish at the back. Sensors on the device include an ambient light sensor, gravity sensor, and proximity sensor.
