Intex has silently released its affordable Intex Aqua Y2 smartphone in the Indian market. The dual-SIM (GSM+GSM) handset is powered by a quad-core Spreadtrum (SC7731) processor clocked at 1.2 GHz paired with 1 GB of RAM. It runs Android 4.4.2 KitKat operating system and features a 4 inch WVGA IPS display with 800 x 480 pixel resolution. The phone comes with 8 GB of inbuilt storage which is expandable up to 64 GB via microSD card. It packs a 1400 mAh battery which is claimed to deliver up to 11 hours of talk time and up to 235 hours of standby time.
Aqua Y2 sports an 8 mega pixel camera with LED flash on the rear while there is also a 2 mega pixel front facing camera onboard for capturing selfies and making video calls. Camera features on the handset include HDR, Face Beauty and Panorama. Connectivity options which Aqua Y2 offers include 3G, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPRS/ EDGE, A-GPS and Micro-USB.
It measures 124 x 64.5 x 9.0 mm, weighs 101 grams and is listed in White, Grey and Black color options on the official website. The Aqua Y2 comes preloaded with several apps like Intex Play, Intex Service, Opera Mini, OLX, Clean Master, Askme and Newshunt.

Intex has also launched its Aqua HD 5.0 smartphone for Rs. 7,790. Specifications of the phone include 5 inch HD IPS (1280 x 720 pixels resolution) display, 1.3 GHz quad-core MediaTek MT6582V processor, Android 4.4.2 KitKat operating system, 1 GB RAM, 8 GB inbuilt memory (expandable up to 32 GB via microSD card), 13 mega pixel auto focus rear camera with flash, 5 mega pixel front facing camera and a 2300 mAh battery.
Price and Availability
The Intex Aqua Y2 phone is now listed on company’s website for Rs. 5,190 however availability details of the handset have not been revealed yet. We expect Intex to make an official announcement for the same soon.
