The new handset is powered by a 12nm octa-core MediaTek Helio G36 processor along with 4GB LPDDR4X RAM and up to 8GB virtual RAM. The 64GB eMMC 5.1 storage can be further expanded via a microSD card (up to 2TB).
In terms of optics, the Infinix Smart 8 sports a dual rear camera setup with a 50-megapixel primary rear sensor, an AI-backed lens (unspecified), and a quad-LED Ring flash.
For selfies and video calling, the new smartphone features an 8-megapixel front camera and an LED flash. It is backed by a 5,000mAh battery.

The Infinix Smart 8 runs Android 13 Go Edition operating system with XOS 13 on top. Connectivity options include dual 4G, nano SIM, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5.0, GPS, GLONASS, and USB Type-C.
The new smartphone comes in Galaxy White, Rainbow Blue, Shiny Gold, and Timber Black colour options. It measures 163.6 x 75.6 x 8.5mm and weighs 189g.
The 6.6-inch IPS display comes with HD+ (1,612 x 720 pixels) resolution, up to 90Hz refresh rate, a peak brightness of 500 nits and a touch sampling rate of 180Hz.
Additional features on the device include a side-mounted fingerprint sensor and the Magic Ring feature (similar to Apple’s Dynamic Island) around the cutout for the front camera.
