Huawei has announced the launch of a new fitness tracker, called the Huawei TalkBand B3. It succeeds the TalkBand B2, which was launched last year. The third generation wearable is Huawei’s latest health management device which enables users to track their activities and sleep.
It comes with a light weight and water resistant Bluetooth headset, which doubles up as touchscreen display. It features a curved PMOLED display with 128×80 pixels resolution and Gorilla Glass for protection against scratches. The screen also features anti-fingerprint coating to prevent smudges.
Besides tracking health, the TalkBand B3 allows hands free calling via dual microphones. The fitness band is claimed to offer louder audio by up to 25 percent compared to its predecessor, the TalkBand B2. Backed up by a 91mAh battery, it is said to deliver up to 6 hours of talk time or last up to 3-4 days. It comes with IP57 rating for resistance against dust and water.
The TalkBand B3 automatically detects and adjusts to various types of physical activities such as- walking, running, climbing and sleeping and allows the user to check the progress through the smartphone app. The wearable is compatible with both Android and iOS smartphones. It comes in three models- Active, Classic and Elite.

The Huawei TalkBand B3 is priced at EUR 169 (approximately Rs. 12,800) for Active variant, EUR 199 (approximately Rs. 15,000) for Classic variant and EUR 249 (approximately Rs. 18,900) for Elite variant. The Classic variant will be available in Brown and Beige metal bands, the Elite will come in Titanium Grey while Active variant will be available in Black or White bands. There is no word on availability of the wearable as of now.
