The new P40 series includes the Huawei P40 5G, the Huawei P40 Pro 5G, and the Huawei P40 Pro+ 5G. All three devices run Android 10 OS with EMUI 10.1 on top.
The dual-SiM smartphones include 5G, Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth v5.1, GPS, NFC, and USB Type-C as connectivity options.
While the Huawei P40 comes with the triple rear camera setup, the Huawei P40 Pro sports a quad rear camera setup.
On the other hand, the Huawei P40 Pro+ is equipped with a Penta rear camera setup. All three models feature dual front cameras.
Additionally, both the Huawei P40 Pro 5G and the Huawei P40 Pro+ 5G feature a bezel-less look, thanks to a Quad-Curve Overflow display. Let’s take a closer look:

The new handset is powered by an octa-core Kirin 990 5G processor along with Mali-G76 MC16 GPU, 8GB RAM, and 128GB internal storage (expandable via Huawei’s Nano Memory 2 card).
The 3,800mAh battery comes with SuperCharge 22.5W fast charging support. The 6.1-inch OLED display comes with a 60Hz refresh rate and a resolution of 1,080 x 2,340 pixels.
The Huawei P40 5G measures 148.9 x 71.06 x 8.5mm and weighs 175 grams. It comes in three glossy color options (Black, Deep Sea Blue, Ice White) and two matte options (Blush Gold and Silver Frost).
Cameras
On the back, the new smartphone sports a triple camera set up. It uses a 50MP primary sensor (f/1.9 aperture), a 16MP ultra-wide-angle lens (f/2.2) and an 8MP telephoto lens (f/2.4).
For selfies and video calling, the Huawei P40 5G sports a 32MP front camera (f/2.0 aperture) and an infrared sensor. The camera set up is housed in a pill-shaped hole-punch design.

Huawei P40 Pro 5G
The new handset is powered by an octa-core Kirin 990 5G processor along with Mali-G76 MC16 GPU, 8GB RAM, and 256GB internal storage (expandable via Huawei’s Nano Memory 2 card).
The 4,200mAh battery supports SuperCharge 40W fast charging and Wireless SuperCharge 27W fast charging.
The Huawei P40 Pro 5G sports a 6.58-inch OLED display with a 60Hz refresh rate and a resolution of 1,200 x 2,640 pixels.
The new smartphone measures 158.2 x 72.6 x 8.95mm and weighs 209 grams. It also comes in three glossy color options (Black, Deep Sea Blue, Ice White) and two matte options (Blush Gold and Silver Frost).
Cameras
On the back, the new smartphone sports a quad-camera set up. It uses a 50MP primary sensor (f/1.9 aperture, OIS), 40MP ultra-wide-angle lens (f/1.8), a 12MP telephoto lens (with SuperSensing), and a 3D depth sensor.
For selfies and video calling, the Huawei P40 5G sports a 32MP front camera (f/2.2 aperture) and a depth sensor. The camera set up is housed in a pill-shaped hole-punch design.

Huawei P40 Pro+ 5G
The premium handset is mostly identical to the Huawei P40 Pro 5G. However, it comes with a non-expandable 512GB internal storage.
The 4,200mAh battery comes with SuperCharge 40W fast charging support and Wireless SuperCharge 40W charging support.
The Huawei P40 Pro+ 5G measures 158.2 x 72.6 x 9mm and weighs 226 grams. It comes in Black Ceramic and White Ceramic color options.
Additionally, the flagship smartphone sports a Penta camera setup on the back. It features a 50MP primary sensor (f/1.9 aperture, OIS) and a 40MP ultra-wide-angle lens (f/1.8).
The camera set up also uses an 8MP SuperZoom periscope lens (125mm) camera (10x optical zoom, f/4.4), an 8MP telephoto lens (80mm, 3x optical zoom), and a 3D depth sensor.
