Huawei has launched a new smartphone in India. The Nova Lite 3 is essentially a Japanese variant of the Huawei P Smart (2019). The Huawei Nova Lite 3 is priced in Japan at JPY 26,880 (approx Rs 17,500). It comes in three color options. Sales start from February 1. As of now, there is no information about the Indian price and launch date.
The Huawei P Smart (2019) was recently launched in the UK at EUR 249 (approx Rs 20,300). It comes in Aurora Blue, Midnight Black, and Sapphire Blue color options.

The Huawei Nova Lite 3 is powered by a 2.2GHz HiSilicon Kirin 710 octa-core processor (12nm process-based) and 3GB RAM. The 32GB internal storage can be further expanded via a hybrid microSD card slot (up to 512GB).
In terms of optics, the new handset sport a dual camera setup (with autofocus, Huawei AI image stabilization, and flash support) on the back. It combines a 13-megapixel primary sensor (f/1.6 aperture) with a 2-megapixel secondary sensor.
For selfies and video calling, the Nova Lite 3 sports an 8-megapixel front camera (fixed focus) with f/2.0 aperture and AI/ AR capabilities. It is backed by a 3,400mAh battery that supports up to 10 hours of internet browsing on 4G networks, up to 18 hours of continuous video playback, and up to 96 hours of continuous music playback.

The Huawei Nova Lite 3 runs Android 9 Pie operating system with EMUI 9.0 on top. Connectivity options include 4G VoLTE, NFC, Bluetooth v4.2, Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac, USB OTG, FM Radio, GPS, Micro-USB port, and a 3.5mm audio jack.
The dual-SIM smartphone sports a 6.21-inch FullView TFT LCD display with full HD+ (1080 x 2340 pixels) resolution, 19.5:9 aspect ratio, 85 percent NTSC color gamut, and a pixel density of 415ppi. It also comes with a waterdrop-shaped notch.
The Nova Lite 3 measures 155.20 x 73.40 x 8.0mm and weighs 160 grams. It comes in Black and Blue color options. A fingerprint sensor is placed on the back. Other sensors on the device include a proximity sensor, ambient light sensor, digital compass, and gravity sensor.

The Huawei Nova 2 Lite was launched last year with a 3000mAh battery. It sports a 5.99-inch IPS display with HD+ (720 x 1440 pixels) resolution and an 18:9 aspect ratio. It is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 430 octa-core processor and 3GB RAM. The 32GB internal storage can be further expanded via a microSD card (up to 128GB).
In terms of optics, the Huawei Nova 2 Lite sports a dual camera setup on the back. It combines a 13-megapixel primary sensor and a 2-megapixel secondary sensor. The new handset features an 8-megapixel front camera for selfies and video calling.
