The Huawei Maimang 8 is priced in China at CNY 1,899 (approx Rs 19,000). It comes in two color options – Midnight Black and Sapphire Blue. Sales start on June 12. Pre-orders are up on major e-commerce platforms (including Huawei Mall).
As of now, there is no information about Indian availability details. Huawei is engaged in an ongoing battle with US authorities. The company’s global future is not clear at this point.

The new smartphone is powered by a Kirin 710 octa-core processor and 6GB RAM. The 128GB internal storage can be further expanded via a hybrid microSD card slot (up to 512GB).
In terms of optics, the Huawei Maimang 8 features a triple camera setup on the back. It combines a 24-megapixel primary sensor with a 16-megapixel secondary sensor (ultra-wide angle lens) and a 2-megapixel depth sensor.
For selfies and video calling, the new handset sports an 8-megapixel front camera. The company claims that the built-in artificial intelligence (AI) recognizes scenes and categories in real-time.

The dual-SIM smartphone features a 6.21-inch display with full-HD+ (1080 x 2340 pixels) resolution and 19.5:9 aspect ratio. It measures 155.2 x 73.4 x 7.95mm and weighs around 160 grams. A fingerprint scanner is placed at the back.
