In this post we share with you our hands on videos and our experience with this phone for a few days of testing.

Hands On Video Review
Design And Build Quality
The design of the phone is really nice and does feel comfortable in hand. It is mostly poly carbonate and other high quality plastics. The rear seems like a glass surface and the front is also a scratch resistant glass. The sides get silver lining, there are good tactile buttons on the phone, the camera module at the rear is nicely plush and gives an overall pretty look to the phone.
A small downside here is that it does not use any real metal on the outside shell anywhere, but it is not a deal breakers as at this price point, hardly any phones get metal construction.
Display Quality
Display quality is exceptionally good, its bright, colours come out natural and does feel very sharp. The contrast levers, touch screen quality and overall richness of the display does feel as premium as other flagships.
Camera Quality
Both front and rear cameras do a good job. Check out our review video below for details and samples.
Gaming Benchmarks And Performance
This phone surprises us pleasantly with upward of 37,000 score on Antutu and a nearly perfect close to 60 FPS score on a full HD display on Nenamark 2 benchmarks. Game play is also very exciting, immersive and seamless with high performance CPU and GPU working well in tandem.
There is a 1.7 GHz Octa Core CPU by Hisilicon which is not very commonly used, it gets Mali T 628 GPU, has 3 GB RAM, 16 GB internal memory with micro SD card support for memory expansion.
Software And UI
It gets Huawei’s Emotion UI version 2.3 which is something parallel to Amigo and Gionee and HTC Sense on HTC phones. It is a custom UI put by Huawei to differentiate the user experience on Huawei phones. It does work well, feels fluid and is easy to use at the same time.
Underneath it runs Android Kit-Kat 4.4 which gives you almost all the latest features on Android.
Verdict
It is a great phone if you are looking for something easy, simple and practical with a large battery and slim design. It is perfect for gamers as it features really good performance and has great display and graphics.
