Huawei has introduced two new devices- Huawei G9 Lite smartphone and MediaPad M2 7.0 tablet, in China. As for specifications, the G9 Lite packs same specs as the P9 Lite smartphone that was launched last month, in April 2016. It features a 5.2-inch full HD display with 1920×1080 pixels resolution.
Depending on carrier, the phone comes in two variants- one powered by an octa-core Kirin 650 processor while the other model packs an octa-core Snapdragon 617 processor. It houses 3GB of RAM and 16GB of internal memory which can be expanded further up to 128GB via microSD card.
The Huawei G9 Lite sports a 13 mega pixel rear camera with LED flash and an 8 mega pixel front facing camera. Backed up by a 3000mAh battery, the phone measures 146.8×72.6×7.5 mm and weighs 143 grams. It features a fingerprint sensor on the rear panel for additional security.
The MediaPad M2 7.0 tablet, on the other hand, comes with an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 615 processor, 3GB of RAM, 7-inch Full HD (1920×1080 pixels resolution) display and 4360mAh battery. Also onboard, is a 13 mega pixel primary camera and a 5 mega pixel front shooter. It is the first tablet from company’s line-up to sport a fingerprint scanner.

The Huawei G9 Lite is priced at CNY 1599 (approximately Rs. 16,400) for Kirin 650 powered variant and CNY 1699 (approximately Rs. 17,500) for Snapdragon 617 variant. The MediaPad M2 7.0 tablet is priced at CNY 1599 (approximately Rs. 16,400) for the 16GB storage variant and CNY 1799 (approximately Rs. 18,500) for 32GB variant. Both devices are up for pre-orders in China and will go on sale starting May 13.
