Huawei Ascend G330 Launched At Rs. 10990

Huawei first showcased their budget dual core offering G330 at IFA 2012 along with their 6 other Android devices- Ascend D1 Quad XL, Ascend G600, Ascend Y201 Pro, Huawei MediaPad 10 FHD and MediaPad 7 Lite. Huawei displayed their offerings back then and the offerings have started to convert into launches with most of the armoury displayed at the IFA this year being on sale now.

Huawei has soft launched their G330 Dual core budget mobile and it has been made available on Snapdeal.com for Rs.10,990. The G330 has quite a lot of similar specs as its rivals, yet is offered at a lower price than the premium brands, despite Huawei being a known name for mobile phones. In countries such as UK, it competes with the Optimus L7 and Galaxy S Duos which are priced Rs.5,000 more than the Huawei offering in the Indian market.

Huawei Ascend G330

Huawei Ascend G330 has a 4-inch LCD Capacitive Display with 800 x 480 pixels resolution. It is powered by a 1 GHz dual-core Qualcomm Snapdragon MSM8225 processor . The problem is that it’s based on A5 architecture which we believe would not be at par with the current competition. It runs Android 4.0.4 and a Jelly Bean update is highly unlikely. It has a 512MB RAM and 4 GB internal memory that can be expanded up to 32 GB with a microSD card. It has 5MP camera at the back with a VGA front camera for video calling.

Connectivity bases are covered with device supporting 3G, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth V2.1 + EDR and GPS. Powering it will be a 1500mAh battery which shall provide it enough juice for a day or two. Micromax and Karbonn have similar but better specced offerings in the same price range so you might like to have a look at them too before buying the device. But then again, Huawei is a better known brand with a better After Sales Support so that might just swing the pendulum in their favour.
