HTC has launched its new Desire 12s smartphone in Taiwan. The new handset comes with Snapdragon 435 processor, 4GB RAM, and a 5.7-inch display. The HTC Desire 12s is priced in Taiwan at TWD 5,990 (approx Rs 13,900) for the 3GB RAM/ 32GB storage variant. The 4GB RAM/ 64GB storage variant bears a price tag of TWD 6,990 (approx Rs 16,200). It comes in Black, Silver, and Red color options. As of now, there is no information about the Indian price or launch date.

The new handset is powered by a 64-bit Snapdragon 435 octa-core processor along with 3GB/ 4GB RAM and 32GB/ 64GB ROM. The internal storage can be further expanded via a microSD card slot. It is backed by a 3,075mAh battery.
In terms of optics, the HTC Desire 12s sports a 13-megapixel rear camera with PDAF (phase detection autofocus), f/2.0 aperture, full HD (1080p) video recording capability, and a LED flash. The 13-megapixel fixed-focus front camera comes with f/2.2 aperture, and a built-in LED flash.

The rear panel comes with a ribbed finish (for better gripping) and a fingerprint scanner.
