HP has launched its latest Windows 8.1 based tablet- HP Stream 8 Tablet in India. This tablet is powered by 1.8 GHz Intel Atom Z3735G processor with Intel HD Graphics (2 MB cache, 4 cores), accompanied with 1 GB of RAM and runs on Windows 8.1 operating system with Bing 32. It features an 8 inch diagonal WVA IPS anti-glare multitouch-enabled LED-backlit display with 1280 x 800 pixels resolution. This device sports a 5 mega pixel rear camera with auto focus and a 2 mega pixel front facing camera with fixed focus for video calling and taking selfies. It entails 32 GB of internal storage which is further expandable via microSD card.
It packs a powerful 4000 mAh battery which gets fully charged up in 3.5 hours. The battery is further claimed to deliver video playback of up to 8 hour and 20 minutes, music playback of up to 8 Hours and 55 minutes and web browsing over Wi-Fi of up to 8 hour and 30 minutes.
As far as connectivity is concerned, it includes Wi-Fi 802.11b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.0, 3G HSPA+ and Micro-USB. The dimensions of this device are 209 x 124 x 8.9 mm while it weighs just 388 grams.

HP Pro 408 G1 is powered by Intel Atom Z3736F processor (1.33 GHz, up to 2.16 GHz using Intel Burst Technology, 2 MB cache, 4 cores) coupled with 2 GB RAM with Intel HD Graphics. It comes with 8 inch diagonal HD MIPI IPS display with a resolution of 1280 x 800 pixels. It features an 8 mega pixel HD rear camera with flash and auto-focus and a 2 mega pixel HD front facing camera with LED indicator. This tablet is available in two variants- 32 GB and 64 GB, while both are expandable via microSD card up to 128 GB. It is fueled by a powerful 4800 mAh lithium-ion polymer battery. It includes Wi-Fi 802.11a/b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.0, Micro-USB, Micro-HDMI, GLONASS and GPS/ A-GPS as connectivity options. It measures 140 x 215 x 9 mm and weighs 375 grams.
Price and Availability
HP Stream 8 tablet is now listed on company’s official website. This tablet will be available in India in a couple of weeks with a price tag of Rs. 16,990/-.
