HP has launched its latest business notebooks- HP EliteBook Folio and Elite x2 1012, in the Indian market. While the EliteBook Folio is touted as HP’s thinnest and lightest business-class laptop as of now, the Elite x2 1012 is a 2-in-1 laptop.
As for specifications, the EliteBook Folio is powered by 6th generation Intel Core M5-6Y54 processor and runs Windows 10 Pro operating system. It has a 12.5-inch full HD display and comes in an optional UHD (4K) variant as well. It is said to deliver up to 10 hours of battery life.
On design front, the HP EliteBook Folio features aluminium body and comes with a back-lit keyboard. It also flaunts its military grade protection against accidental drops. It measures 12.4mm in thickness and weighs around 1kg. Connectivity options include two USB Type-C ports with Thunderbolt.
The Elite x2 1012 on the other hand, is powered by 6th generation Intel-core M vPro processor. It features a 12-inch display with Gorilla Glass 4 protection. It will come with the HP Active Pen which features over 2048 point of pressure sensitivity. The device also comes with an optional Advanced Keyboard.
Price & Availability
The HP EliteBook Folio is available at price starting at Rs. 1,27,200 while the Elite x2 1012 2-in-1 laptop starts at Rs. 91,449.
Besides, HP also announced a refreshed EliteBook 1040 G3 with price starting at Rs. 1,30,000, the Envy 15 and the EliteBook 800 G3. These devices come with the new Intel Skylake processors and feature USB Type-C ports.
The company also introduced world’s thinnest Notebook- HP Spectre, which weighs 1.1 kg and measures 10.4 mm in thickness; and Elite x3, which is a 5.96-inch touchscreen phablet that lets users connect seamlessly to a separate screen, mouse and keyboard. There is no word on pricing of these devices. While the Spectre will be available in India from mid-June, the Elite x3 will go on sale in the Indian market later this year.
