The Honor Play 4 is priced at CNY 1,799 (approx Rs 19,100) for the 6GB RAM/ 128GB storage variant. The 8GB RAM/ 128GB storage model costs CNY 1,999 (approx Rs 21,200).
The new smartphone comes in Magical Night Black, Phantom Blue, and Iceland Illusion color options. Sales will start in China on June 12.
On the other hand, the Honor Play 4 Pro comes with a price tag of CNY 2,899 (approx Rs 30,800). Another model with the IR sensor costs CNY 2,999 (approx Rs 31,800).
The new handset comes in Magical Night Black, Mecha Blue, and Iceland Illusion color options. Sales will start in China on June 9.
Specifications and Features
Both the Honor Play 4 and Honor Play 4 Pro feature a hole-punch display design. Both devices come with 5G connectivity and fast charging support.
Additionally, the Honor Play 4 Pro comes in an additional variant with a dedicated infrared (IR) sensor at the back. It is touted to have an accuracy of 0.1-degree Celsius.
Since a rise in body temperature is an early symptom of COVID-19), the new model is aimed at capitalizing on the ongoing crisis.

The new handset is powered by an octa-core MediaTek Dimensity 800 processor along with Mali G57 MC4 GPU and up to 8GB LPDDR4x RAM. The 128GB internal storage is expandable via a micro SD card (up to 512GB).
The Honor Play 4 sports a quad rear camera setup with a 64MP primary sensor (f/1.89 aperture), an 8MP wide-angle lens (f/2.2), and two 2MP sensors (f/2.4).
For selfies and video calling, the smartphone sports a 16MP front camera with an f/2.0 aperture. It is backed by a 4,300mAh battery that supports 22.5W fast charging.
The Honor Play 4 runs Android 10 OS with Magic UI 3.1 on top. Connectivity options include 5G, 4G LTE, Wi-Fi 802.11ac, Bluetooth v5.1, GPS/ A-GPS, USB Type-C, and a 3.5mm headphone jack.
The dual-SIM smartphone features a 6.81-inch TFT display with full-HD+ (1,080 x 2,400 pixels) resolution, a 20:9 aspect ratio, and a pixel density of 386ppi.
The handset also comes with an in-display fingerprint sensor. Other sensors on the device include an accelerometer, ambient light, gyroscope, and a proximity sensor.
