Huawei’s e-brand, Honor has announced a tie-up with GoPro. As part of the new collaboration, the GoPro Quik mobile video editing app will come preloaded on the upcoming Honor smartphone, the Honor 8 Pro. Previously, Huawei/Honor has partnered with global brands like Amazon Alexa, Leica, Porsche Design and Pantone Color Institute. The Honor 8 Pro is aimed at young, on-the-go users. The upcoming smartphone features a dual camera setup as its USP. The GoPro Quik app will be a nice addition to camera features of Honor 8 Pro. The efficient video and photo editing software brings creative options to users. The Honor 8 Pro’s photo gallery uses a new feature called ‘Highlights’, which automatically selects photos and videos for the user. And Quik app creates a video (using these pics/videos) synchronized to the beat of the selected music. Users can further customize it with additional filters, transitions, effects, etc.

Honor 8 Pro
The new Honor 8 Pro is essentially a better version of the Honor V9. The company claims that Honor 8 Pro will come with the best combination of hardware and software. The handset features a dual-camera setup on the back with two 12-megapixel sensors with dual-tone LED flash and f/2.2 aperture. Camera features include 4K video recording at 30 frames per second. There is also an 8-megapixel front camera onboard.
The Android (7.0 Nougat) smartphone is powered by company’s in-house 2.4GHz Kirin 960 octa-core processor and 6GB of RAM. The 64GB internal storage can be further expanded up to 128GB via a microSD card (Hybrid Dual SIM slot). It is backed by a 4000mAh battery non-removable battery and offers up to 2 days of continuous usage with the Smart Power mode.
The Honor 8 Pro sports an all metal body with rounded corners. It measures 157 x 77.50 x 6.97mm and weighs 184 grams. The Honor handset also sports a circular fingerprint sensor on the back. It features a 5.7-inch Quad HD display with a pixel density of 515ppi. Connectivity options on the device include Cat.6 LTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.2, GPS, A-GPS, GLONASS, NFC, 3.5mm Audio port, and a USB Type-C port.
Huawei’s dual camera technology helps to produce professional-looking bokeh and superb details even in low-light settings. The GoPro Quik app will help users to creatively use the camera capabilities of the Honor 8 Pro.
