Celebrating its third year anniversary, Honor has announced its Honor Magic smartphone in China. As for specifications, the smartphone packs an octa-core Kirin 950 processor paired with Mali T880-MP4 GPU. It features a 5.09-inch Quad HD AMOLED 3D curved glass display with 2560×1440 pixels resolution. The device houses 4GB of RAM and 64GB of internal  memory.

For photography lovers, it sports 12 mega pixel dual rear cameras with dual-tone LED flash, f/2.2 aperture and 6P lens. There is also an 8 mega pixel front camera with f/2.0 aperture. Fueled by a 2900 mAh battery, it supports Huawei Magic Power fast charging. The company claims it to charge to 70% in 20 minutes and 40% in 10 minutes. The phone measures 146.1×69.9×7.8 mm and weighs 145 grams. Connectivity options include 4G LTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.2 and GPS.

On the software front, it runs Android 6.0 Marshmallow wrapped under Honor Magic Live OS. The smartphone is aimed at offering intuitive user experience and comes with intelligent interactive features. The WiseScreen sensor lets users unlock the phone by just picking it up and looking at the screen. Furthermore, the screen will lock and go off automatically on putting the phone in pocket. The FaceCode intelligent recognition feature ensures privacy by showing message notifications only to the pre-registered face.

The Honor Magic Live system anticipates the needs of the users and offers predictive information based on the anticipation. Honor Magic’s Smart Display is another feature that anticipates user’s needs and proactively retrieves and shows practical information.

On design front, the Magic features a curved glass finish on the back and comes with a fingerprint sensor integrated into the home button.

Price & Availability

The Honor Magic carries a price tag of CNY 3699 (approximately Rs. 36,000). It will be up for pre-order in China starting December 16, 2016. It comes in Golden Black and Porcelain White color options.
