Honor (Huawei sub-brand) has launched a new wearable in the Indian market. The Honor Band 4 is the successor of the company’s Honor Band 3. The Honor Band 4 sports a 0.95-inch AMOLED display with 2.5D curved glass. It is the company’s first wearable feature a color display. You can easily navigate via intuitive scroll gestures. The new wearable comes with a circular Home button at the front. It measures 43 x 17.2 x 11.5mm and weighs 23 grams.
The wearable is water resistant up to 50 meters (up to 5ATM). It is backed by a 100mAh battery. The company claims that the fitness tracker can last up to 6 days with continuous heart rate measurement. Sensors on the device include a 6-axis gyroscope, PPG heart rate sensor, and an infrared sensor.
The Honor Band 4 can be paired with compatible smartphones via the Huawei Health app. It also comes with NFC support for payments. Connectivity options include Bluetooth 4.2. It comes in Black, Blue, and Pink color options.
The fitness tracker comes equipped with Huawei TruSleep 2.0 technology. It uses cardiopulmonary coupled dynamics spectrum (CPC) to monitor complete sleep structure including deep sleep (REM) and offers personalized sleep recommendations. The wearable is capable of 24-hour continuous heart monitoring when running, walking, cycling, etc

The company also launched a toned down variant of Honor Band 4 in China at CNY 99 yuan (approx Rs 1,000). The color display, heart rate sensor, and NFC support are absent on the device. However, it is water resistant up to 50 meters. The new wearable is backed by a smaller 77mAh battery that offers up to 12 days of usage. It comes in multiple color options – Black, Blue, Green, Pink, Red, and Yellow.
The fitness tracker comes with a PMOLED display. It measures 40.5 x 14.8 x 11.2mm and weighs 6 grams. The 6-axis sensor measures multiple factors (cadence, step length, ground contact time, foot strike pattern, landing impact, eversion excursion, and swing angle) to offer improved running detection.
