The Honor 9X India is expected to be launched in India on January 14. As of now, there is no information about its price tag.
The Huawei sub-brand has already started sending invites for the launch event. The handset has also been listed on Flipkart.
“For the Honor 9X which will be launched next month, it is based on Android and GMS (Google Mobile Services), and also Google Play,” said Charles Peng, President, Honor India.
In China, the Honor 9X is priced at CNY 1,399 (approx Rs 14,000) for the 4GB RAM/ 64GB storage variant. The 6GB RAM/ 64GB storage and 6GB RAM/ 128GB storage models cost CNY 1,599 (approx Rs 16,000) and CNY 1,899 (approx Rs 19,000), respectively.
On the other hand, the Honor 9X Pro is priced at CNY 2,199 (approx Rs 22,000) for the 8GB RAM/ 128GB storage variant. Whereas the 8GB RAM/ 256GB storage model comes with a price tag of CNY 2,399 (approx Rs 24,000).

The new handset is powered by a HiSilicon Kirin 810 octa-core processor and up to 6GB RAM. The 64GB/ 128GB internal storage can be further expanded via a microSD card (up to 512GB). It is backed by a 4,000mAh battery.
In terms of optics, the Honor 9X sports a dual-camera setup on the back. It comes with a 48-megapixel lens (f/1.8 aperture) and a 2-megapixel depth sensor as well. For selfies, the smartphone features a 16-megapixel front camera with an f/2.2 aperture.

The Honor 9X runs Android 9 Pie operating system with EMUI 9.1.1 on top. Connectivity options include Wi-Fi 802.11ac, Bluetooth v5, USB Type-C port, and a 3.5mm audio jack.
The new handset features a 6.59-inch display with full-HD+ (1080 x 2340 pixels) resolution and a pixel density of 391ppi.
The Honor 9X will be available in Midnight Black, Midnight Blue, and Red color options. It measures 163.1 x 77.2 x 8.8mm and weighs 206 grams.
The rear panel features an X-shape glossy gradient finish. Additional features include a side-mounted fingerprint sensor.

Honor 9X Pro
The Pro variant sports mostly identical specifications as the Honor 9X. However, it sports a triple camera setup on the back.
The Honor 9X Pro uses a 48-megapixel primary sensor, an 8-megapixel wide-angle lens, and a 2-megapixel depth sensor. It is powered by a HiSilicon Kirin 810 octa-core processor along with 8GB RAM and up to 256GB internal storage.
The premium handset will be available in Midnight Black and Phantom Blue color options.
