Honor (Huawei sub-brand) has launched a new smartphone in the Indian market. The new Honor 9N is a rebranded version of the Honor 9i (2018), which was launched in China last month. The Honor 9N is priced at Rs 11,999 for the 3GB RAM/ 32GB storage variant. While the 4GB RAM/ 64GB storage variant comes at Rs 13,999, the 4GB RAM/ 128GB storage model costs Rs 17,999. Sales start from 31st July, exclusively via Flipkart.

The Honor 9i (2018) 64GB storage variant was launched in China at 1399 Yuan (approx Rs 14,647). Whereas the 128GB model comes at Yuan 1699 (approx Rs 17,800).

The new smartphone comes with the similar specifications as the Honor 9i. It features a 5.84-inch with full HD+ (2280 x 1080 pixels) resolution and 19:9 aspect ratio. The Honor 9N is powered by an octa-core Kirin 659 processor along with ARM Mali-T830 MP2 GPU. The company promises that the new smartphone will get GPU turbo update in the coming months which will further enhance the performance. The internal storage can be expanded via a microSD card (up to 256GB).

In terms of optics, the Honor smartphone comes with dual camera setup (with AI-powered features) on the back. It combines a 13MP primary sensor with a 2MP secondary sensor. The 16MP front camera comes with AI (Artificial Intelligence) beautification mode. The mid-range smartphone is backed by a 3,000mAh battery.

The Honor 9N runs Android 8.0 Oreo operating system with EMUI 8.0 on top. Connectivity options include 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.2, GPS with A-GPS, and GLONASS.

The dual-SIM smartphone measures 149.2 x 71.8 x 7.7mm and weighs 152 grams. It comes in four color options – Midnight black, Robin Egg Blue, Sapphire Blue, and Lavender Purple. A fingerprint sensor is placed on the back alongside vertically aligned dual rear cameras. The handset also comes with a Face Unlock feature.
