Honor (Huawei sub-brand) has launched two new smartphones in the Indian market. The new Honor 8X handset comes with a glass-finish back panel and dual rear cameras. The Honor 8X is priced in China at CNY 1,399 (approx Rs 14,700) for the 4GB RAM/ 64GB internal storage variant. While the 6GB RAM/ 64GB storage model is priced at CNY 1,599 (approx Rs 16,800), the 6GB RAM/ 128GB storage variant costs at CNY 1,899 (approx Rs 20,000). It will be available from September 11 through Vmall, Tmall, Suning, and Jingdong.
On the other hand, the Honor 8X Max comes with a price tag of CNY 1,499 (approx Rs 15,700) for the 64GB storage variant. A 128GB storage model is priced at CNY 1,799 (approx Rs 19,000). Both variants will go on sale from September 6 via Vmall, Tmall, Sunning, and Jingdong.
As of now, there is no confirmation about the Indian launch date or price. The Honor 7X is priced in India at Rs 11,999.

The Honor 8X comes with several improvements over its predecessor. It sports a 6.5-inch TFT IPS display with full-HD+ (1080 x 2340 pixels) resolution, 18.7:9 aspect ratio and pixel density of 397ppi. It is powered by an octa-core HiSilicon Kirin 710F processor. The internal storage can be further expanded via a microSD card.
In terms of optics, the new smartphone sports a dual camera setup (with f/1.8 aperture) on the back (20-megapixel primary sensor + 2-megapixel secondary depth sensor). The 16-megapixel front camera comes with a f/2.0 aperture. The artificial intelligence (AI) powered features include features such as AR stickers, Portrait mode, HDR, and Super Night Scene.
In the power department, the handset is backed by a 3,750mAh battery.

The Honor 8X sports an iPhone-like notch on top. It measures 160.4×76.6×7.8mm and weighs 175 grams. Sensors on the device include an ambient light sensor, compass, gravity sensor, gyroscope, and a proximity sensor. A fingerprint sensor is placed on the back.
