Rear Camera
The Honor 8 Pro comes with an advanced dual camera setup at the rear which includes a 12 MP primary sensor along with a monochrome sensor which helps gather more light, depth detail and helps to create excellent shallow-depth-of-field shots. The rear camera menu is loaded with modes and features on the software level. There is an automatic mode, pro photo, video, pro video, monochrome, HDR, 3D creator, Night shot, Panorama, Light Painting, Time Lapse, Slow mMotion Filters, watermarks, audio note and document scan. It does not end here, you can download more modes from Honor’s modes collection like- good food mode etc. There are more advanced features hidden under settings menu, which lets you control how camera app behaves. Rear Camera Performance Review
I am pleasantly surprised by how good the rear camera on the Honor 8 Pro is. It takes excellent pictures in most lighting conditions including the ones taken in low light. The only downside we notice is that there is no OIS on this sensor, however for 1080p FHD videos, the software base EIS works pretty well.
Front Camera
On the front of this phone is a large field of view camera sensor with 8MP resolution. The camera is supported with a really effective beauty mode, which smoothens the imperfection of the face like blemishes, wrinkles and makes you look good. The pictures taken come out to be clear, wide and very natural in terms of colour production. Here are some samples for yourself to examine.

Rear Camera Performance Review
I find the front camera of this phone to be pretty good for selfie lovers. You get clear shots with lots of width in frame, which means that you can take group selfies easily.
Honor 8 Pro Camera Review Verdict
In its price segment, Honor 8 Pro is among the best camera phones you can buy. Especially the dual camera setup at the rear is one of the best we have used on a phone in this segment.
