Huawei sub-brand Honor has slowly gained much popularity and fanfare in emerging markets. The primary reason is due to its range of attractive and affordable smartphones. Now online reports have poured in from all angles that the company soon to come smartphone Honor 7S has been leaked. Reported by WinFuture, the Honor 7S leak shows that the smartphone will have a new base variant and will allegedly also be priced somewhere around 120-140 euros.
Honor 7S Leak: Speculated Features
The Honor 7S leak report revealed a lot of information regarding the smartphone.
The smartphone will be a “downgrade” to Honor 7A. The device will be built with a 5.45-inch IPS display. Its resolution will be of 1440×720 pixels, which is HD+. There will be no fingerprint scanner allegedly. It is being speculated that the device will be unlocked through facial recognition.
The Honor 7S leak reveals that the device will be powered by a MediaTek MT6739 quad-core SoC. It is a low-end SoC. It has four 1.5-gigahertz cores. The memory is two gigabytes in size. The internal flash memory is 16GB. The storage can be expanded via a MicroSD card slot. It will have two nano-SIM slots too.
In the camera department, the device will have a single rear 13-megapixel camera. It will also have a 5-megapixel front camera. Both sensors will have their own LED flash.
The device will support Bluetooth 4.2, N-WLAN. It won’t support NFC. The smartphone will be backed by a 3020mAh battery. The smartphone allegedly has a height of 8.3 millimeters and weighs 142 grams. The operating system won’t be pure Android 8.0 Oreo. It will be Huawei’s own EMUI 8.0.
It is being speculated that the smartphone will be launched soon. Prices haven’t been revealed yet.
Other Developments
Earlier the upcoming Honor 10 was also leaked online. In the leak, it is suggested that the Honor 10 will sport a horizontal dual rear camera setup with f/1.6 aperture. The camera setup will be equipped with a quad-LED flash. The company’s new Twilight color variant was seen recently on the Huawei P20 and P20 Pro. The render was leaked on Weibo, and the image was suggested to be of the Honor 10 – as it had a standard Honor branding on the bottom. The image also showed that the smartphone will antenna lines on the top and bottom. Previous invites and banners of the device established certain artificial intelligence features in the front camera. One banner showed a fingerprint sensor rear-mounted on the phone (which is not there in the leaked image).
