Google has announced addition of new low cost Chrome OS based devices to its product portfolio. The new Chrome OS based devices include Haier Chromebook 11, Hisense Chromebook and Asus Chromebook Flip. Google has also announced Asus Chromebit HDMI dongle which turns any TV into a full-fledged Chrome OS computer. Both Haier Chromebook 11 and Hisense Chromebook share some specifications in common. Both Chromebooks feature 11.6-inch screen with 1366 x 768 pixel resolution, Rockchip RK3288 Cortex-A17 quad-core processor, 16 GB storage, 2 GB RAM. Haier Chromebook is claimed to offer up to 10 hours of battery life while Hisense variant offers up to 8.5 hours of battery life.

The Asus Chromebook Flip is a convertible laptop which comes with an all metal premium design. It packs a Rockchip 3288 processor with four ARM Cortex A17 cores and features a 10.1 inch display with 1280 x 800 pixel resolution. It houses 16 GB of inbuilt memory and offers 10 hours of battery life. It measures 15 mm in thickness and weighs less than two pounds.

Price and Availability
Priced at $149, the Haier Chromebook 11 and Hisense Chromebook are now up for pre-orders in US through Amazon and Walmart respectively. The Asus Chromebook Flip will go on sale in the coming months for $249. There is no word on availability of the devices in India.
