Gionee is reportedly gearing up for the launch of its Gionee M5 smartphone. The handset was teased by the company on its Weibo account and the striking feature of Gionee’s upcoming M5 phone is said to be a dual battery set up.
Now the device has been spotted on Chinese certification website TENAA. As per the certification website’s listing, the M5 will be powered by a 1.3GHz quad-core processor (unknown chipset) paired with 2GB of RAM and run Android 5.1 Lollipop operating system. It will feature a 5.5-inch HD AMOLED display with 1280×720 pixels resolution.
The listing also revealed that the phone will come with 16GB of inbuilt storage which is expandable up to 128GB via microSD card. It will also sport an 8 mega pixel rear camera and a 5 mega pixel front facing camera. The handset will pack two batteries with a total of 6000mAh capacity. The M5 phone will measure 152x76x8.6mm in dimensions, weigh 213 grams and will be available in Noble White, Gentleman Black and Gold Grey color options.

Gionee also teased its upcoming Elife E8 phone. Rumored specs of the handset include a 2 GHz octa-core processor, 3GB of RAM and Android 5.0 operating system wrapped under Amigo UI. The Elife E8 is likely to sport a 6-inch Quad HD AMOLED display and house 64GB of inbuilt storage (expandable via microSD card). It is also rumored to come with 23 mega pixel rear camera, 7 mega pixel front facing camera and a 3530mAh battery.
