Gionee seems to be expanding its smartphone portfolio. With model number Gionee GN5005, a new Gionee smartphone has surfaced on Chinese certification website TENAA revealing its images and key specifications. As per TENAA listing, the GN5005 packs a 1.25GHz quad-core (unknown chipset) processor. It features a 5-inch HD display with 720p resolution and runs Android 6.0 Marshmallow with Amigo UI.
The smartphone houses 3GB of RAM and 16GB of internal memory with expandable storage up to 128GB via microSD card. On the camera front, the GN5005 sports an 8 mega pixel auto focus rear camera with LED flash and a 5 mega pixel front camera. It measures 144.3×70.5×8.6 mm and weighs 140 grams. Backed up by a 4000mAh battery, the smartphone will offer 4G LTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth and GPS as connectivity options.
The images reveal that the smartphone will feature metal design. On the front, the smartphone sports front camera, earpiece and sensors above the display. Below the display, it packs a physical home button sandwiched between two touch capacitive buttons. On the back, it features camera module on the top left corner on a black strip. Gionee logo is placed at the centre and Gionee branding and speakers are placed towards the bottom. Right edge houses power button and the volume rockers.
