The 5G smartphone comes with several upgrades over the original model. It supports 5G Non-Standalone(NSA), 5G Standalone(SA) network, and Sub6 bands.
Additionally, the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 5G comes with a Snapdragon 865+ SoC. It features a clamshell design with a tiny cover display on the outer shell. Let’s take a closer look:

The foldable phone is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 865+ octa-core processor (7nm) along with 8GB RAM and 256GB internal storage.
In terms of optics, the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 5G sports a dual-camera setup on the back. It uses a 12MP wide-angle lens (f/1.8 aperture, 1.4-micron pixels, 78-degree FoV) and a 12MP ultra-wide-angle camera (f/2.2, 1.12-micron pixels, 123-degree FoV, OIS).
For selfies and video calling, the handset features a 10MP front camera (f/2.4, 1.22-micron pixels, 80-degree FoV). The 3,300mAh battery comes with fast charging and wireless charging support.

The Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 5G runs the Android 10 operating system. Connectivity options include 5G (NSA/SA), Wi-Fi 802.11ax (Wi-Fi 6), Bluetooth 5.0, NFC, GPS, and USB Type-C.
The smartphone features a 6.7-inch Dynamic AMOLED Infinity Flex display with full-HD (1080 x 2636 pixels) resolution, a 21.9:9 aspect ratio, and a pixel density of 425ppi.
Additionally, Samsung has added a 1.1-inch Super AMOLED outer display with a resolution of 112 x 300 pixels and a pixel density of 303ppi.
The foldable phone comes with a Flex mode UI. A ‘Hideaway Hinge’ allows users to keep the Galaxy Z Flip open at multiple angles.
The Samsung Galaxy Z Flip measures 167.3 x 73.6 x 7.2mm (when unfolded) and weighs 183 grams. A fingerprint sensor is placed on the side.

The Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 5G is priced at $1449,99 (approx Rs 1,08,200). It will be available in the US from August 7.
The new foldable phone comes in two color options – Mystic Gray and Mystic Bronze. The 4G counterpart was launched in the US at $1,380 (approx Rs 98,400).
