The Samsung Galaxy XCover FieldPro is powered by an octa-core Exynos 9810 processor and 4GB RAM. The 64GB internal storage can be further expanded via a microSD card (up to 512GB).
The new rugged handset is backed by a 4,500mAh removable battery. A second unit is supplied in the box.
In terms of optics, the Samsung Galaxy XCover FieldPro features a 12MP rear camera with dual aperture feature and triple LED flash. There is also an 8MP front camera onboard.

The new smartphone sports a 5.1-inch display with QHD (2560 x 1440 pixels) resolution. It measures 158.5 x 80.7 x 14.2mm and weighs 256 grams.
Samsung claims that the Galaxy XCover FieldPro can survive liquid damage, accidental falls, and other harsh conditions. It comes with a MIL-STD-810G certified build and an IP68 rating.

The Samsung Galaxy XCover FieldPro runs the Android Oreo operating system. The company promises an upgrade to Android 10 OS and 3 years of security updates.
Connectivity options include LTE, BT v5.0, NFC, Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac, A-GPS, GLONASS, Galileo, and Band 14 support (used for emergency response communication).
The rugged handset also features dedicated push-to-talk and emergency request buttons (programmable).
Additionally, the Samsung Galaxy XCover FieldPro supports the Knox feature. There is also a fingerprint sensor for authentication.
Sensors on the device include an accelerometer, gyro sensor, geomagnetic sensor, proximity sensor, and RGB light sensor.
