Elephone is all set to launch the successor of its P8000 smartphone, called the Elephone P9000. The device is set to go on sale in November 2015.
It is evident that the P9000 will come with several upgrades over its predecessor. But does it come with enough improvements and new features to compel you to upgrade from P8000? Let’s find out. As for specifications, it will be powered by Helio P10 processor paired with 4GB of RAM. The predecessor P8000 on the other hand, comes with octa-core MediaTek 6753 chipset clocked at 1.3GHz coupled with 3GB of RAM. For storage purpose, it will come with 64GB of internal memory compared to 64GB inbuilt storage of predecessor.
On software front, it will run Android 6.0 Marshmallow operating system. The camera of the device has also been bumped up. It will come with 21 mega pixel rear camera and an 8 mega pixel front facing camera. The Elephone P8000 sports a 13 mega pixel rear camera and a 5 mega pixel front facing camera. Another upgrade is that the P9000 will feature USB Type C port. The fingerprint sensor has also been moved from rear of the phone to its side. It retains the 5.5-inch full HD display as its precursor.
