The feature phone also comes with a panic button (in numeric key ‘5’) for emergency calls. The panic button makes five calls to emergency number 112. Additionally, five SMS are immediately sent to police authorities, and another three to family members.
The new feature phone comes with a 2.8-inch LCD display. The internal storage can be further expanded via a microSD card (up to 16GB). Users can store up to 1000 contacts and up to 300 SMS in the device. Contacts can be exported/imported via SD card.
The 1,500mAh battery is accompanied by a power saving mode, which can be activated by long pressing the ‘0’ key. In terms of optics, the new Detel D1 Slim sports a camera with LED flash on both front and back.
The Detel D1 Slim is available in three color options – Blue, Gold, and Rose Gold. It sports a reflective keypad, torch, and a sound recorder. Additional features include multi-language support (Indian), Bluetooth, auto call recording, call blacklist, an audio player and a video player.

Detel is a domestic mobile phone brand. Last year, the company launched the Detel D1 feature phone at Rs 299. It was being touted as the lowest price for a mobile phone in India. Detel claims that it is ‘the world’s most economical feature phone brand.’
