The Dell Latitude 7212 Rugged Extreme tablet is available in the US at a starting price of $1,899 (approx Rs 1.2 lakhs). The new tablet was announced at IFA, Berlin. The company also unveiled two new 34-inch Alienware gaming monitors with Nvidia’s G-Sync support.

The new Dell Latitude 7212 Rugged Extreme tablet runs Windows 10 Pro and Windows 7 Pro (with a sixth-generation Intel Core i5 processor). It comes with an option of sixth or seventh generation Intel processors. You can choose from 8GB or 16GB RAM along with 128GB to 1TB PCIe SSD. The rugged tablet sports an 11.6-inch touchscreen display with full HD (1080p) resolution. It comes with dual, hot-swappable (26 Whr) lithium-ion batteries which offer up to 19 hours of battery life.

Dell Latitude 7212 Features
The Rugged Extreme Tablet can survive in adverse temperatures, -20 to 145 degrees Fahrenheit (-29 to 63 degrees Celsius), thanks to MIL-810G certification. The Latitude 7212 comes with IP65 rating against dust and water intrusion. Connectivity options include USB-C, GPS, and an optional 4G LTE modem.
Dell is also offering a number of accessories with the new tablet including a rugged dock, rugged keyboard cover, rugged battery charger, rugged shoulder strap, rugged extreme handle, and rugged IO module. It comes preloaded with Windows 10 Pro.
The new tablet weighs almost 1.3kg. You can also attach an RGB backlit removable keyboard cover for extended typing sessions. The touch screen works with gloves which is great for extremely cold environments.
