The new handset is powered by a 1.5GHz octa-core MediaTek MT6750 processor and 4GB RAM. The 64GB internal storage can be further expanded via a microSD card. The 4,000mAh battery comes with fast-charging support (goes from 0 to 100 percent charge in just 2.3 hours time).
In terms of optics, the Coolpad Play Cool 8 sports a dual camera setup on the back. It combines a 16-megapixel primary sensor and a 2-megapixel secondary depth sensor. For selfies and video calling, the smartphone comes with an 8-megapixel front camera.
