Karbonn and Mediatek at an joint media event in New Delhi India today announced the launch of first Octacore phone from Karbonn Smartphones under the Titanium series. The Karbonn Octane+, Octane and Hexa are powered by new 1.7 GHz Octacore Meriatek 6592 chipset and 6591 Hexacore chipset which is among the first true Octacore/Hexacore chipsets which makes all the 8/6 cores of CPU work in parallel for fast processing. One of these phones, Hexa is powered by a Hexacore unit, the other two, Octane and Octane Plus are powered by Octacore processors. INTEX Cloud Y4+ available at company website at price INR 5,990 with dual core processor

INTEX Cloud Y4+ listed on company’s official website with a price tag of 5,990. If we do a little research about the smartphones available in this price segment, we found some interesting device along with much better specifications. Like Gionee Pioneer P2, Micromax Bolt A67 and Spice Smart Flo Poise Mi-451. All these smartphones has better display, better battery and the same price tag of INR 6000. Gionee Pioneer P2 launched last year in August but still it is a good deal at the price of INR 5700. Gionee P2 has same specifications as INTEX Cloud Y4+ has but P2 has better battery and lesser price. But the INTEX Cloud Y4+ is more thinner than P2 in terms of design. While at the other hand Micromax Bolt A67 and Spice Smart Flo Poise Mi has much bigger display than the Gionee P2 and INTEX Cloud Y4+. Both have slightly half inch bigger display than the other too.

Panasonic P31 launched in India at INR 11,990. The device is a budget device, and it has the specifications that we have seen on lots of device already in this segment. However, the device did not do well as it priced around 12000 in the market. Anyone who would like to but a smartphone with 12k budget would like to go with Moto G- the king smartphone of this range devices. The Moto G has good specifications that you will not see on mid-range devices too. Although there is some disappointment in users due to lack of memory card support in Moto G but still it is an obvious choice to but Moto G at the budget of 12k. Otherwise, Panasonic comes with a memory card support up to 32GB and a quad core processor from unknown manufacturer.

Nokia has launched the Nokia X in India officially at Rs. 8,500. The Nokia X goes on sale in India on 10th March 2014 and the X+ and XL will be launched in India before May 2014.

Nokia today at the first day of MWC, 2014 which is an annual press event held in the global mobile capital Barcelona, Spain announced the first Android smartphone the Nokia X. At the press event along with Nokia X, Nokia also announced two more handsets Nokia X+ and Nokia XL which have some improvements from the parent model that is the Nokia X with a hike in the pricing.
