Lenovo A6000 Plus Launched In India For Rs. 7,499: Specs & Features

The Lenovo A6000 Plus smartphone which was announced earlier this week, has now been launched in the Indian market. The handset will go on sale exclusively via e-commerce retailer Flipkart on 28th April 2015 while registrations for the same will open today at 2.00 PM. The A6000 Plus is essentially a refreshed variant of A6000. The Plus variant features double RAM and double inbuilt memory of what A6000 offers. Lava Iris X1 Atom Launched At Rs. 4,444: Specs & Features

Lava has expanded its Iris series with the launch of Lava Iris X1 Atom smartphone. As for specifications, the handset runs Android 4.4 KitKat operating system with a promised upgrade to Android 5.0 Lollipop through FOTA. The X1 Atom is powered by a quad-core (unknown chipset) processor clocked at 1.2 GHz and features a 4-inch WVGA display with 800 x 480 pixel resolution and 233 ppi pixel density. Onboard is 512 MB of RAM and 4 GB of inbuilt storage which is expandable up to 32 GB via microSD card.

Google Handwriting Input Lets You Handwrite Text In 82 Languages

Google has announced the launch of a new handwriting keyboard for Android dubbed the Google Handwriting Input. The input tool is now available to download from Google Play store. After installing it on your smartphone or tablet, set the keyboard as default and you are ready to go. The Handwriting tool supports 82 languages in 20 distinct scripts and allows users to input text using a stylus or their finger. Furthermore, the keyboard is compatible with both printed as well as cursive writing inputs.

Samsung Reportedly Working On Two New Tizen Phones

After the success of Samsung Z1 phone, Samsung is now said to be working on its two new Tizen phones- the Samsung Z2 and another Tizen smartphone which will be launched globally. The successor of Samsung Z1, the Z2 phone is rumored to be an entry level smartphone while the global Tizen phone will be a mid-ranged phone. The Z2 is likely to be unveiled in first half of 2015. While there is no word on availability of the global Tizen phone, it is said to be launched in several markets across the globe like Korea, USA, Russia, EU, China, India, France, Malaysia and South Asia. LG has unveiled a new smartphone dubbed LG Volt in its home market Korea. The Volt shares some common specifications with LG Spirit which was showcased at Mobile World Congress 2015 and was launched in India in March 2015 at Rs. 14,250. As for specifications, the single-SIM Volt is powered by 64-bit 1.2 GHz Snapdragon 410 processor paired with 1 GB of RAM and runs Android 5.0 Lollipop. It features a 4.7-inch HD display with 1280 x 720 pixels resolution and 312 ppi pixel density. The display of the handset is slightly curved hinting what the upcoming LG G4 could look like.

Huawei at a press event in London, has launched its new smartphone Huawei P8Max alongside Huawei P8 phone. The P8Max phablet borrows its design cues from P8 phone. Just like its smaller sibling P8, the P8Max features a unibody full-metal design built with aerospace-grade aluminum. As for specifications the P8Max is powered by an octa-core HiSilicon Kirin 930 processor coupled with 3 GB of RAM and Mali-T628 MP4 GPU. Running Android 5.0 operating system wrapped under Emotion UI 3.1, the handset features a large 6.8-inch full HD display with 1920×1080 pixel resolution and 326 ppi pixel density.

Huawei has finally taken the wraps off its flagship P8 smartphone at an event in London. Crafted from single piece of metal, the handset features unibody all metal design and measures mere 6.4 mm in thickness. In line with the previous rumors, the device packs a 2.0 GHz octa-core HiSilicon Kirin 930 processor paired with 3 GB of RAM and sports a 5.2-inch full HD IPS display. Other specifications of the handset include 16 GB/64 GB of inbuilt storage, 13 mega pixel rear camera, 8 mega pixel front facing camera, Android 5.0 OS wrapped under EM UI 3.1 and 2680 mAh battery. The P8 comes with 4G LTE support and will be available in silver, gold, black and grey color variants.
