Karbonn has expanded its smartphone portfolio with the launch of Karbonn Aura 9. Highlight of this phone is its mammoth 4000mAh battery which is claimed to deliver up to 10 hours of talk time and up to 300 hours of standby time. It is powered by a 1.2GHz quad-core processor coupled with 1GB of RAM. Running Android 4.4 KitKat operating system, it features a 5-inch IPS display with 854×480 pixels resolution.

It sports an 8 mega pixel rear camera with LED flash and a 5 mega pixel front facing camera. There is 8GB of inbuilt storage which is expandable up to 32GB via microSD card. The handset offers 3G, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and GPS as connectivity options.

Micromax has launched its latest tablet- Micromax Canvas Tab P680. Under the hood, it is powered by a 1.3GHz quad-core processor paired with 1GB of RAM. The device runs Android 5.0 Lollipop operating system and features an 8-inch WXGA IPS display with 1280×800 pixels resolution. The tablet sports a 5 mega pixel auto focus rear camera and a 2 mega pixel front facing camera.

It is backed up by a 4000mAh battery and houses 16GB of internal memory for storage purpose which can be expanded up to 32GB using microSD card. Connectivity options include 3G, Wi-Fi and Bluetooth. BQ has launched its Aquaris E4.5 and Aquaris E5 Ubuntu Edition smartphones in the Indian market. Highlight of both devices is that they run Canonical’s Ubuntu operating system. which comes loaded with several gestures and a concept called Scopes.

Lava has expanded its Iris series with the launch of Lava Iris Atom 2 smartphone. Under the hood, it is powered by a 1.3GHz quad-core processor paired with 512MB of RAM. Running Android 4.4 KitKat (upgradable to Android Lollipop) operating system, it features a 4.5-inch FWVGA TFT display with 854×480 pixels resolution.
