Samsung India Sends Invites For October 14 Event, Gear S2 Expected

Samsung India has sent out media invites for an event scheduled on October 14, 2015 in Gurgaon. The invite sent by the company does not give any hint about the product, but looking at what the invite reads, ‘The next level of innovation is here’, Samsung is expected to announce the Gear S2 smartwatch for the Indian market.

Opera To Power Data Saver Feature On Xiaomi Devices

Earlier this week, Xiaomi announced its MIUI 7 in India. Out of plenty of features which MIUI 7 offers, the Data Saver is one of the talked about features. Xiaomi has partnered with Opera Software to power the Data Saver feature on all Xiaomi devices. The Opera Max technology has been powering the MIUI Data Saver feature on Xiaomi devices in China for more than a year and now the feature will be available on all Xiaomi devices worldwide.

The Data Saver feature compresses browser and in-app media. According to Xiaomi, this can reduce data usage across all applications by up to 50 percent This feature will be available in September in China, Hong Kong, Malaysia, Singapore, Taiwan, the Philippines and India.
