Snapchat Spectacles are now available all across Europe. The camera-equipped sunglasses were first launched in the US in November. According to Snap (parent company of the Snapchat app), there are more than 55 million Snapchat users in Europe (out of 166 million global users). The company has been planning to tap into this territory for a while. During the US launch, Snap said that it planned ‘to make substantial investments’ in marketing and distribution this year. Fitbit has launched its latest fitness band in the Indian market, called the Fitbit Alta HR. It is touted as the world’s slimmest wist band with continuous heart rate tracking. The wearable comes with PurePulse heart rate technology and offers automatic exercise recognition and sleep tracking among other features. The company claims it to deliver up to seven days of battery life.
Huawei has launched its Huawei Watch 2 and Watch 2 Classic smartwatches at MWC 2017. On the software front, both smartwatches run Android Wear 2.0. The Watch 2 has a sporty look with rubber straps and stainless steel back while the Watch 2 Classic comes with stainless steel bezels and leather straps. Both wearables feature heart rate sensor and provide real time heart rate information to the users.
