Nokia Lumia 520 And 720 Launched At MWC 2013 Officially

Companies see MWC as that opportunity every year which they take to tell the world what is it that makes them what they are. All sorts of innovations in the mobile arena are showcased at the MWC and this year’s iteration has played host to Nokia launching their budget Windows Phone 8 powered smartphones who will join the likes of the Lumia 620,820 and 920 and alongside the smartphones, the Finns have showcased two feature phones as well-105 and 301.

Nokia has already stated that it will not opt for Android as a platform for its smartphones and it will be Windows Phone all the way for them. Nokia has launched two budget Windows Phone 8 smartphones at the MWC 2013, namely the Lumia 520 and 720 which will be the successors of the highly popular Lumia 510 and 710. The credit for bringing Windows Phone experience on a budget goes to 510 and 710 and the next generation of the Lumias will take over the charge from previous generation.

BlackBerry Z10 Launched In India At Rs. 43,499

BlackBerry has a lot riding on the back of its latest OS, BB10 and the BB10 powered devices. India has been that market for BlackBerry where the company’s market share has increased when it has declined elsewhere. They surely could not leave behind the Indians when it came to launching the Z10 and they have just launched their next flagship in India at a price of sky rocketing Rs.43,499. The pre bookings of the device had already started and the ones who have booked it already will be able to lay their hands on the device starting tomorrow.

It will reach the retail stores within a week and then we can safely expect the device’s price to come down over a period of time. BlackBerry Z10 will have a 4.2-inch LCD touchscreen display unit which will have a resolution of 1280×768 pixels. The display will have an amazing pixel density of 356 ppi and the device will support 4 points of touch at the same point of time. The device is quite thin and the thickness stands at 9mm. It may not be the slimmest of devices but by BlackBerry standards, is quite the Size-zero device.

HTC One India Launch By March 2013

HTC created a lot of waves when they launched the HTC One and the ripples of those waves are going to create a lot of profits for the company in near future. The HTC One has already started going up for pre-order in Europe and how could the world’s number 2 market be left behind amidst all this. HTC will bring it to India later in March 2013 before the current fiscal ends to up the ante in the high end smartphone game.

There is no knowledge about the price at which the device would come but company has confirmed the launch time. We wonder as to what pricing strategy will they follow for it. We expect it to replace the HTC One X in the Indian market and sit below the HTC Butterfly as the Butterfly costs a whopping Rs.45,000 and people prefer buying the iPhone 5 for that amount of money. So they need to get the pricing bang on if this great device has to become successful in the Indian smartphone market.

LG Optimus G Now Available In India- Price and Details

Either LG does not see the Indian market as one of their important markets or the team which takes care of the strategies at LG India is doing a pretty poor job of devising launch strategies for India in the smartphone game. LG has some real good products with them as top of the line smartphones but India seems to get them when their next version comes in. LG has quietly introduced the LG Optimus G in India at a price of Rs. 30,990 when the LG Optimus G Pro has already been announced.

The only thing LG seems to have done in the correct manner this time is that they have priced it right. The SIII just got itself a price cut and is retailing for around Rs.29,000 and the HTC One X can also be bought for a similar price. The only thing that might make people shy away from this real good smartphone is the fact that LG has had a poor track record of updating their smartphones with the latest software. If someone is spending such a large chunk of money for their smartphone, they expect to be treated well but LG does not really do that.

Nokia Lumia Smartphones Prices Will Be Reduced?

Nokia has quite a lot of hopes from the Windows Phone platform and Microsoft also realises the importance of their partnership with Nokia since the Windows Phone platform has seen a huge boost from the day Lumia range of smartphones have hit the stores. In a bid to further boost up the sales of the Lumia range of devices, which are Nokia’s only ray of hope, Nokia intends on making the Lumia in the country slightly more affordable because the current top end devices come at quite a steep price tag.
