Sony Xperia Z Launched In India At Rs. 38990–Features, Video Review and Details

Sony India has launched the Sony Xperia Z in India officially on 6th March 2013. The same has gone on sale on Flipkart for a price of Rs. 38990. Xperia Z is the latest phone from Sony globally and has been launched in India in just a few weeks of its global launch at MWC 2013 in Barcelona Spain.

It features a 5 inch capacitive touchscreen with full HD 1080×1920 aka 1080p display which looks brilliant. The display has a pixel per inch density of 441 which is much higher than that of an iPhone 5. The display touchscreen is multi-touch capacitive screen and has scratch resistant glass. It can sense up to 10 touch-inputs at the same time. It has Bravia graphics engine which makes the graphics super smooth and stunning in colours. Above all, its water resistant, so if you happen to work in environment where there are splashes of water or risk of phone getting wet, it will be really useful.

Byond, the Indian electronics manufacturer is on a launch spree in the Indian smartphone market and in sync with that has launched another 5 inch phablet in the market, and the latest 5 inch phablet has been named B65 which will retail for Rs.9,200. It will 5-inch WVGA display which will have a resolution of 800×480 pixels. It will come with a dual-core processor clocked at 1.2 GHz which means it will have a pretty decent performance.

The phablet will come with dual SIM functionality and will run on Android 4.0.4 Ice Cream Sandwich. There will be 512 MB of RAM on offer and there will be 4GB of internal storage on offer as well. The highlight of the smartphone will be the 8 megalpixel snapper at the back with LED flash while there will be a secondary camera unit as well on offer with a resolution of 1.3 megapixels. So the phablet has got its camera frontier covered pretty well.

Xperia tablet Z is a 10.1 inch tablet and with a thickness of a paltry 6.9mm, Sony believes that this will be the thinnest tablet in the segment. It comes with the OmniBalance design which we saw on the Xperia Z. It will run on Android 4.1 Jelly Bean but would get the 4.2 update as and when it reaches the retail stores. Powering it will be a as Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 Pro asynchronous quad-core processor and it will come with IP55 and IP57 certification making it a water-proof tablet. Now that’s something none of the tablets out there has.
