After getting listed on company’s website earlier this month, the iBall Cobalt 6 has made its way to retail stores across the country. According to Mumbai based retailer Mahesh Telecom, the Cobalt 6 is available to buy from offline stores for Rs. 13,999.

Under the hood, it is powered by a 1.7GHz octa-core processor paired with 2GB of RAM. Running Android 4.4 KitKat operating system, it features a 6-inch full HD TFT display with 1920×1080 pixels resolution. The handset houses 16GB of internal memory which is expandable using microSD card. On photography front, it sports a 16 mega pixel auto focus rear camera with dual LED flash and BSI sensor.

At an event in China, Xiaomi has launched its Xiaomi Redmi Note 2 smartphone alongside Redmi Note 2 Prime phone and MIUI 7. The Redmi Note 2 will be available in two variants- one with 3G support and other with 4G LTE support.

Specifications of all the three variants are identical except that the Redmi Note 2 Prime packs a higher clocked processor and houses 32GB of internal memory while the Redmi Note 2 comes with 16GB of inbuilt storage. It is unclear as of now whether the handsets will support microSD card for expandable storage or not. Karbonn has expanded its smartphone portfolio with the launch of Karbonn Aura 9. Highlight of this phone is its mammoth 4000mAh battery which is claimed to deliver up to 10 hours of talk time and up to 300 hours of standby time. It is powered by a 1.2GHz quad-core processor coupled with 1GB of RAM. Running Android 4.4 KitKat operating system, it features a 5-inch IPS display with 854×480 pixels resolution.

BQ has launched its Aquaris E4.5 and Aquaris E5 Ubuntu Edition smartphones in the Indian market. Highlight of both devices is that they run Canonical’s Ubuntu operating system. which comes loaded with several gestures and a concept called Scopes.

Lava has expanded its Iris series with the launch of Lava Iris Atom 2 smartphone. Under the hood, it is powered by a 1.3GHz quad-core processor paired with 512MB of RAM. Running Android 4.4 KitKat (upgradable to Android Lollipop) operating system, it features a 4.5-inch FWVGA TFT display with 854×480 pixels resolution.

There is 8GB of inbuilt storage which is expandable up to 32GB using microSD card.
