Obi Worldphone SF1, SJ1.5 Smartphones Announced: Price, Specs & Features

Obi Mobiles, backed by ex-Apple CEO John Scully is now Obi Worldphone and has launched its two new smartphones- Obi Worldphone SF1 and SJ1.5. Both devices have been designed by San Francisco-based product studio Ammunition.

The Worldphone SF1 is powered by an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 615 processor paired with Adreno 405 GPU and runs Android 5.0.2 Lollipop operating system. Based on RAM and storage, it comes in two variants- one with 2GB of RAM and 16GB of storage while other variant houses 3GB of RAM and 32GB of internal memory. It sports a 13 mega pixel rear camera with LED flash and a 5 mega pixel front facing camera with flash. Backed up by a 3000mAh battery, it measures 146x74x8mm and weighs 147 grams.

Intex has launched a new smartphone- Intex Aqua Turbo4G in its Aqua series. It is powered by a 1.0GHz quad-core processor paired with 1GB of RAM. Running Android 5.1 Lollipop operating system, it features a 5-inch HD display with 1280×720 pixels resolution.

There is 8GB of inbuilt storage onboard which is expandable up to 32GB using microSD card. It sports a 5 mega pixel camera on the rear and a 2 mega pixel front facing camera. Backed up by a 3000mAh battery, it measures 144.5×72.5×8.9mm in dimensions. Connectivity options include 4G LTE, Wi-Fi and Bluetooth.

Celkon has expanded its Millennia series with the launch of Celkon Millennia 2GB Xpress smartphone. Under the good, the smartphone is powered by a quad-core processor clocked at 1.2GHz paired with 2GB of RAM. The device features a 4.5-inch IPS OGS display with 800×480 pixels resolution and runs Android 4.4 KitKat operating system which is upgradable to Android 5.0 Lollipop.

There is 16GB of internal memory which is expandable up to 32GB using microSD card. The Millennia 2GB Xpress sports a 5 mega pixel rear camera and a 1.3 mega pixel front facing camera. Meizu has announced the launch of its flagship smartphone Meizu MX5 in India. The company has partnered with online retailer Snapdeal for sale of the device.

Nokia 222 And Nokia 222 Dual SIM Feature Phones Announced

Microsoft has announced its two new features phones, dubbed Nokia 222 and Nokia 222 Dual SIM. The handsets succeed Nokia 220 and Nokia 220 Dual SIM feature phones which were launched last year in 2014.

Both Nokia 222 and Nokia 222 Dual SIM feature phones share identical set of specifications except that the latter comes with dual SIM support as opposed to single SIM support of the former. Both handsets sport a 2.4-inch QVGA LCD display with 320×240 pixels resolution and 166ppi pixel density. There is a 2 mega pixel fixed focus camera on the rear. The devices support expandable storage up to 32GB using microSD card. On software front, they run Nokia Series 30+ operating system.
